Radio Remedy’s studio is based on the ground floor of Caithness General Hospital.
The use of the two interconnecting rooms (studio and Record library) are supplied
by the Hospital, apart from the Main broadcast stack all equipment and resources
within are the property of Radio Remedy.
Radio Remedy’s studio equipment comprises of the following:
1 Main analogue Studio Desk controlling-
1 Technics Quartz SL 1200 Mk.2 Turntable.
2 Technics SL-PG3 CD Players.
1 Sony MDSJB940 Minidisc Recorder.
1 Yamaha Twin Cassette Deck.
1 DRS2006 Mp3 Playout system running on
1 Windows XP Computer with Internet access.
1 Ipod / Mp3 player analogue interface.
1 Telephone Interface allowing external audio feeds to be directly routed through
the desk for live broadcast.
Anyone Accepted into the Radio Remedy trainee presenter program shall be instructed in all aspects of studio operation by our experienced studio presenters and trainers.
Tuition shall include presentation skills and the correct use of studio desk and audio Equipment.
You shall also be instructed in the correct operation of our DRS2006 computer based software.
A knowledge of music is a great advantage to presenters but not a necessity.
With the advent of the world wide web and our studio computers internet access, interesting snippets of information about performers can be at hand to enhance your show presentation.
Enthusiasm is a must.

CD library comprising approximately of 800 Discs covering Classical and opera to Heavy Metal with everything in between.
Vinyl collection of approximately 1000 7” and 12” discs.
Computer based Mp3 collection of 6,000 tracks allowing instant access through our DRS2006 Program.
